Are you using a mouse, or the built-in trackpad?
Your trackpad might be set up as a single-click (as opposed to right- and left-click).
In any case, CTRL-Click does the same thing as right-click and should bring up a contextual menu that allows you to save an image.
Trackpad can be reconfigured in System Preferences, it's pretty straightforward.
