Hi can anyone recommend some good 3D blu-ray's to watch? I've just bought a new tv and want some films to test if out.

Wait for Skyfall or try Prometheus. Casino Royale should be good too.

Cant afford the cinema or even Sky movies anymore so am well out of date!

Hi LGF

I've got Prometheus on blu-ray but not 3D version. The tv "converts" 2D signal to "3D" but I've only got TT3D and the new Spider-Man film in 3D.

Yeah think Skyfall comes out in Feb 18th I think. Can't wait for it.

I suppose the original Star Wars films will be released in 3D in the future and I will end up having 4 different media types!

Get a 3D Blu-ray player. Watching 2D movies converted to 3D is pants. Also look for stuff that was originally filmed in 3D and not converted afterwards. The latest Transformers movie is a 3D stunner so is the Tintin movie.

Not all 3D TVs are the same. The best 3D picture comes from ones with active shutter technology - the glasses are powered. Other types that use a filter over the screen only have half the horizontal resolution of standard HD.

I've got a 3D blu-ray player, my old Sony packed up so thought I'd get 3D for when I changed the tv.

Are the Sky 3D channels worth subscribing to? I have the Sports and Documentary but don't bother with Sky movies as got them on blu-ray 3 it 4 months earlier.

Prometheus was bad enough in 2D, James Cameron you should be ashamed. ;)

I'm not the only one who thought so then.

Sorry I canny afford blu-ray, 3D or even flat screen, but am looking forward to Skyfall on BT Vision.
