View to reply ratio

Is it just me or is the ratio of veiws to replies bloody enormous ? Loads of people online but no-one joining in :?
 
They are just all hanging around to read one of my world renound awesome jokes.... probably.

Yes I think you are correct, mind I often can't think of anything witty to add to a thread.

I often use the search to try and find info and they may be a year or 2 old threads so "dead" in reality or is that a wrong assumption?
 
It's because there isn't a hover function on the site. A couple of other forums I use you hover your cursor over the thread title and you can preview the first couple of lines of the first post so you don't have to open it to see what the content is.
 
English as tea and crumpets. My wife is of the gallic persuasion though.
