Lots know this but for those who still use water bottles, just reminded myself today that a small amount of rice and water (plus bleach if you want) in a bottle 'shake a lot' and if scours all the difficult micro slime out of your bottle if you have been using juice or energy drinks and rinsing has not done what it should have done.

Works very very well, been doing it for years, but just thought i'd share .

Thanks for that, my son was just wondering what to do about his bottles before going down to Plymouth, very timely post. :)

I've become a bit of a purist about bottles in recent years. Nothing else will do.

Always Use Milton sterilising liquid after a quick bottle wash & leave soaking overnight. Do this with my Camelbak too & not had to buy a cleaning kit for it...

I don't know to be honest, all I know is he's based at Plymouth and maybe going to Norway for three months.
