First slug of the year :-(

Had the cherry blossom out early december here. It still weirds me out a bit.

We're surrounded on three sides by neighbours who use bark chippings on their flower beds which provide an ideal habitat for them. What with that and the neighbourhood cat sh@@@ing like a Great Dane in our garden it'll be a wonder if we grow anything...

this is goin to sound strange but my mum has always collected egg shells (ours when we cook) and crushed them up and used them round her plants to stop slugs/snails etc gettin at the new plants

its like us walkin barefoot over glass seams to work for my mum could be worth a try > at the neighbours fence ? or areas ?

Hair. Go to the local hairdresser and ask if you can have some hair a spread it around the plants, works a treat. Not heard of the eggshells one before.

Copper pipe around the edges of the veg beds always works. We get hundreds, but they never get past the pipes for some reason.

Oh, and no matter how far you launch them, they will always come back
