......I was there at the weekend and I thought it was lovely!.....(despite it persisting down)......looked like some great riding in the new forest too!.... :D

Yep, just up the road. The New Forest is a great place to ride, non technical but brilliant for a fast charge out on the singlespeed for miles and miles off-road.

Mudeford is nicer but christchurch is not bad.

Nah you're thinking of Bournemouth ;)
I come from Lymington, New Forest born and bred. Some good riding around Burley/Ringwood way.

You've not been to Bournemouth for a while!! It's like Blackpool...on acid nowadays. Horrid.

The Forest is ok. Some decent hilly stuff, if you know where to look, but it gets so soggy and doesn't drain well.
I bet it's moist at the moment :shock:
