How to set up my amplifier to Playstaton 3?

I have an Onkyo TX-SR313 amp, i'm looking to get it working with my ps3 for awesome gaming sound. I have a Toshiba flat screen tv with hdmi and wharfedale diamond speakers (currently hooked up to my mini system).

How do I go about it, what leads do i need etc? I'm new to all this, its my first amp.

yeah you just plug your playstaion into the amp via an hdmi cable, (keep using the regualr cable to set it up or you won't be able to see anything!). Select the hdmi out option, then select the hdmi input on your amp and there you go.

assuming you are using hdmi from amp to tv, otherwise just use a opticle cable from ps3 to amp...

For me, hdmi to tv and optical to amp. Works a treat. You will have two connections from the ps3 basically, one to tv and one to amp.

If you are using it to watch blu-rays you might want to use HDMI audio out as it supports much higher bit rates.
