Best place for them!

Having owned 5x Rover SD1, Range Rover, Discovery and a Rover 214 16v, I am happy to say I do not want to own any of them ever again.

Rust, electrics, plastics - all terrible. There was a thread a long while ago about electronic fuel injection on the MG Maestro - it did not make that car any better...

I do still fancy an early Metro though

I'll never forget the day my Dad bought a brand new MG Metro Mk1, I thought it was like a Ferrari...well it was 1982 and I was 6 years old :D I can still remember the number plate, SOX 729Y 8)

The best thing to happen to an MG Metro, was when the Mini boys got hold of the engine

i didnt realise how much i loved BL cars until i saw this thread.
Me ma had an Austin Mini (mustard colour, no rear seat belts, beautiful black plastic trim). this saw my mum and seven children back and forth brownies on a weekly basis.
Me Pa had an Austin Maestro (avoid the puddles/generally using it as a car to avoid having any troubles) and an Austin Metro, which saw a family of five use this as their single mode of transport for around 2/3years solid. 3 school runs per day plus a work commute for my dad which was an 1hr20min round trip for him and eventually became my eldest sisters first car :P
I still remember the number plate: B444 HRD :)
the good old days of '4 star' fuel :)
