Having found a truly retro Compaq Tablet I am trying to get the damn thing to work as a tablet PC - I have a boot disc of Windows XP professional but I'm dammed if I can get the darned thing to be anything more than a basic laptop.

Has anybody still got a real bonafide CD/DVD of the real 'Windows XP Tablet PC Edition'?

Please, I dont want the little fella top go to waste...

It's only 2 CD's by the looks of it, if you have a key I can MSDN it for you and stick the ISO's in my box share so you can access it, then just install and use your key.

Looks like box is out, first time I try and use it and I find out I have a max file size of 100mb. Crafty.

its poss you could try hps site or download trhe drivers for tablet screen from microsoft.i use an itronix as a spare and the drivers for that are available off their site....there is also the p bay too..

been there - just going round in circles

need the specific tablet edition software to get the tablet drivers to work.

works fine as a stand pc but no digitizer/ touchscreen function.

have Vista available so may faff on with that.

or just flog the damn thing!
