A one-winged, asthmatic pigeon would be a faster way of getting messages here.

Slow n slower.

I had Internet at 18Mbps in 2006 in Spain now in 2012 in the UK I'm lucky to see 1Mbps with absolutely no plans to upgrade the exchange or even for it to be unbundled, so I don't get any of the decent deals that have TV on demand etc. poo. I can barely even watch iplayer and YouTube is just a buffer fest.

when i asked bt about broadband (before our exchange was upgraded) they tried to sell me a second line installation & an isdn contract.

that was 10 years ago and there are times now when i wish i had!!!

I pay for 10Mb and get this consistently. Free upgrade this month to 20Mb this month though. I don't download films or anything so the 10Mb is plenty fast enough for me. I got the Virgin for its reliability not speed, that's a bonus.

Not bad for Cornwall and even better considering that's a test done on a phone. Wiring the laptop to the router ive had low 50s download and 30+upload at certain times of day.

Glacially slow, since I had to move the PC into another room & go wireless :evil:

'Ping' = 35ms
'Download' = 2.5Mb/S
'Upload' = 0.86 Mb/S

just did this, didn't realise we got this much speed - although it seems to be struggling with this forum for some reason!
