Proper Telly - Where'd It All Go?

It's all still there, it's just that there are a million channels now so it takes a bit of finding. Check out the Discovery Channel and it's offspring like Discovery Shed, full of stuff like that. A little more up to date mind!

Came home the other night to find the wife watching Argos tv

Anything to keep 'em quiet while we're in the shed I say ;) May even get a nice gadget for Christmas out of it!

Although I watch documetaries and comedies on iplayer I tend to browse the interweb, read, listen to radio (fewer knobs on radio) and potter instead of watching telly. Haven't owned a set for years. The Olympics were ace on the radio and a football match has more drama and suspense on the wireless.

I reckon the Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprysy had the right idea

Slighlty on topic, over here they are proclaiming the amazingness of our freeview tv system nere in OZ, that we have 16 free to air channels (think its more now), the other night as i was going to bed, looked up the epg, and for the commercial channels (12 of them), 1 had the love boat coming up, then charmed, every other channel had "Home Shopping" infomertials... excellent programming

They say deprive a society of 3 meals and you'll have revolution, it probably something like 3 episodes of eastenders. Can you imagine ? People would have to talk to thier wives/husbands and actually take notice of the kids. The murder rate would probably triple.
Not had a tv for 23 years, sometimes watch stuff online though but not much other than docs. This place is pretty good for all sorts.....

Thing I do wonder is as tv content becomes of lower quality and more shite does that mean the population is becoming thicker ?

Don't know what you're all complaining about. Got my TiVo all programmed to record tonight's channel 506's Special " Skip Watch " tonight ( they're doing Euro Skips and waste management ) then to record " The Thoughts of Jordan " on channel 101 ( light philosophy and vajazzle beauty tips ).
