Malware Search Conduit

So the apprentice at work used the shop laptop on her lunchbreak and somehow mysteriously, 'honestly I don't know how it happened honestly' installed Search Conduit on it, now everytime the browser is used it redirects to SC, how the f******g hell do I get rid of this piece of crap, tried add remove programmes, tried removing files in file search, still get the browser and toolbar on chrome.

The apprentice is supreme trouble and her job is actually on the line for this one, if it can't be removed she's out, it's not the first time she's severely f*****d up and she alway has an excuse or it wasn't her and she doesn't know how it happened.

So any help in removing SC would be gratefully recieved.

Edit: just tried unistalling Chrome and using I.E., the malware automatically installs itself on whichever browser you use. She is so dead.

system restore?

i had a similar malware attack 2 years ago and system restor sort of fixed it, but it still popped up now and then.

ive since got a new laptop and limit myself to 3 pornsites and havent had any sort of issues since.

sounds like you have a young apprentice with feck all common sense. perhaps locking the laptops access may have been a good idea>>>>>>>>>>>>stable doors :(

System restore does bugger all sadly.
She was told only use the laptop for hotmail only as it has all the company accounts etc on it, the Mac on the otherhand get used for all sorts but she was 'on lunchbreak and didn't want to use the Mac cos you can't take into the lounge.' she won't tell me what sites she visited and has cleared the history so she' not dumb just very very stupid.

i'd say that by not telling you what site's she's been on, she's aguably not helping to sort the problem.

bye bye.

Have you tried the usual Malwarebytes / super anti spyware type of programmes ??

Malwarebytes would be my first line of attack..
