I loved my Amiga and should never have swapped it for my first PC (a 386 SX16)

I had a CDTV, essentially an Amiga 500 in a hifi style case, remote control pads and A single speed CD rom drive!!!! (pretty fricking impressive for 1991 I'll have you know!)

The CD had to be loaded into a caddy before being inserted. From memory they only made a handful of discs for it. But it also ran amiga titles from the floppy drive.

Still a sexy looking computer if you ask me!

Games wise, Lemmings was my only official CDTV title, but I used to love speedball chaos engine, cannon fodder and Syndicate wars too.

Flood = Ace.
Sensi Soccer = Ace.
R-Type = Ace.
All the Dizzy games = Ace + cheap.

Still got a 500+ and 1200 and all my games in the attic.
Might have to fire the old girl up if I can find the tv modulator!

I had TCB Tracker for the ST and ran a few bits and pieces through the midi ports, if I remember rightly Betty Boo did her whole first album on one

Ironic then that the best version of this intro tune was the Amiga version

Modern PCs are more than capable of emulating the Amiga and ST.
Check out WINUAE/Cloanto Amiga Forever.
WinSTon/Little Green Desktop.

Loved Dungeon Master, there's a PC rewrite of that.

Spent £600 on an Amiga purely to play Sensi Soccer.....what a class game that was :D

Not exactly money well spent though...i could have put it towards a decent car at the time :roll:
