Are there any cycle commuters using these http://www.bikeglow.co.uk/ lights, looks like a great idea for commuters when the nights start drawing in. Hardly any added weight and you get seen from all angles.

Nah, it's a boyracer thing.
i used flat-lite EL panels in my final year Uni project and integrated it into a set of mudguards.
was crap. these glow wires are good, but need an inverter which weighs about 3 times the collective weight of the wires them selves.
EL panels are good fun, but crap on a bike. susceptible to UV and moisture.
