I was lucky enough to be in the Olympic stadium on Saturday night. I love all sport and the competiveness it brings out in people and the day i spent in the park followed by that momentous evening has swept away all the cynicism that has built up within me over the years.

I think its only as bad as it is due to being on home soil. Normally when its hosted in another country, you rarely hear about it and its not in your face (apart from when you watch it).
