I'll start the ball rolling

Wax DJ since the mid 90's

Current set up 2x 1210 Mk5's (plus spare 1210 Mk2), Ortofon concorde carts, Technics battle mixer and various sets of headphones, favs are Technics RP-DJ1200 and currently fashioning go fast duck tape.

Genre...

Loving some Electro swing/Deep house at the mo. Have masses of funky vocal, piano classics (classy house music). I've a garage, DnB and break beat collection. Love old skool Hip Hop, funk & soul and use to regularly drop into sets.

Used to play out a lot upt north/midlands but now to old to carry bags of records arround, that and wifes not to keen anymore. Played along side some awesome DJ's and some overpaid smack heads
Guest appearances every now and again in my bar when the mood take me ;)

I've a soundcloud account but doesnt really have owt good on it. Did have a tasty myspace music page once
Here a taste of the stuff i play/like currently

So who else including 1210tech has the gear and likes there tunes (oh and rides a Pace)?

i saw someone "air dj'ing" on saturday night.

liiked like a right bell end and his mates were seriously embarassed

1210tech checking in ;)

I'm sure there are quite a few on here still spinning the vinyl, I remember reading that there was a set of decks present at Mountain Mayhem this year and previous years but can't recall who was spinning the tunes

I play most versions of house, garage, breakbeat, oldskool hardcore & jungle. Here's my Soundcloud page that I set up ages ago and has been neglected lately but theres an old mix on there: http://soundcloud.com/1210tech
There were a few other mixes but I got copyrighted by the record labels and had to remove them, note to self, don't put the track list up in the public eye!
A few links to mixes I digitised from tape and uploaded to mediafire for friends:

2 x Technics SL-1210MK2's with Stanton Trackmaster II's
2 x Pioneer CDJ1000MK2's
Pionneer DJM800 mixer
Technics SJ-MD150 mini-disc recorder
Pioneer PDR609 CD Recorder
Technics RS-TR474 tape deck
Technics SU300 amp
Jamo D165 speakers

The pics shows a DJM600 mixer that has been replaced by the DJM800 and my old G4 Powerbook but thats long gone after I dropped it, but the nice insurance people replaced it with a 15" MacBook Pro that I run Traktor & Ableton on :D

started mixing records in 95' and still dabble when I get time...

sold my setup last year to fund new house items, regret it now & feel like a part of me is "missing" :( had 1210 Mk3's and an old Gemini ps626 mixer.

My first love is Detroit Techno, from late 80's up to recent. (Transmat, KMS, Axis, Metroplex, UR, +8,Minus, etc)

2nd love is jungle/drum & bass, especially 90's stuff (moving shadow, Dred, Urban Gorilla, Reinforced, Suburban Base, TOV, metalheadz etc)

Used to do a bit years ago on vinyl and CDJ500. Still have the 500's and been meaning to learn electronics to retrofit a MIDI interface and use them as Traktor or Ableton controllers.

Haven't DJ'ed anything in ages, or even played with Ableton.

Would love some CDJs though, and a Xone or a Zero8 just to play with.
