Christian "Bic" Hayes (former bike messenger and all round good chap) left the Cardiacs and joined Levitation - So there is still a link- but Cardiacs continued- even doing a joint headline tour with Levitation in 94 or so, which was the only tour by any band that I followed by bike.... And Tim Smith produced their first proper album.

Their second album "Meanwhile Gardens" was going to be released i 2 parts "Spring" and "autumn" and has yet to surface in its intended version. Join the facebook campaign here:

Bic went on to play with Julianne Regan in Mice, as tour guitarist with Heather Nova and the Pet Shop Boys and is now managing other bands and releasing some rather good stuff under the moniker "Microcosmos".

Last 2 posts are off on the wrong tangent as the one that precedes them is Siouxsie and the Banshees, not the House of Love.
