They are nicely made hubs. Are the Pro 3's newer than these or a different design?

Yeah, Pro3 are non disc. The sound, just from turning the freehub in my hands, is awesome!
What rim though? Mavic would be a solid and safe bet, but I dont want to rule out other makes just because Mavic is a safe bet, albeit very good though.
What do you reckon then, XC use, nothing extreme, but I want something nice to spoke up to these hubs.

I love Hope hubs Only problem I've ever had was a rear getting glooped up after a snow/mud/grit/water ride. Easy to sort by watching the superb Hope online guides
