Here is the details of the email I was sent, tracing the IP looks to indicate Douglas on the Isle of Man. Hope that helps somehow.

Age Guide: 16-20
Harrogate, North Yorkshire, HG1
Close enough to leeds to fit???

1st post updated to include crime ref and buccy's details. If you've just started here please read that post first.

Not sure as trying to find address / location based off IP is awfully useful here. Best take your complaint to the relevant authorities.

Paying for goods using paypal gift is against their terms and conditions.

Makes it (originating IP address) available in the thread for all the scammed people to be able to reference.

I'd agree, trying to conclude name and address may be a bit fruitless / blunt tool / charcoal vague, but having the full header of emails available for all who need, plus the ISP details may be of use?

There is NO way anyone is going to be 'banged up" for this.

The guilty party is going to be reading this, so perhaps they should weigh in and explain themselves and let it all resolve.

What are we talking about, £500 of gear?

Do we really want to be jailing people for £500?
