Thread Taping (Tapping?) Q

Hi,
Does anyone know what the standard thread pitch is for canti-studs?
I have just bought some Pace V Brake mounts which seem to have a much finer thread than the frame (Klein) stud mounts.
I'm will probably need to tap the Pace items...what size tap will I need. Studs are 10mm BTW.

Oh...I need to do this as the standard studs do not suit my V brakes, I'm having some new Steinbach studs sent over.

Usually M8, sometimes M6. The thread that hold the canti onto the stud is an M6.

Mmmm..threads are def. M10, measured them a hundred times. But what is the standard pitch...the Pace items seem metric fine or something :?

Oh right, well a standard 10mm metric coarse is 1.25mm pitch and a metric fine is 1mm, the same as the rear derailleur hanger.

Oh, just checking to see where I can buy a tap and it seems standard metric course pitch for M10 is 1.50 :?

Oh yes,

my mistake, M10 coarse is indeed 1.5 pitch.
