Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse! It's Blue Tongue disease now which has the potential to be worse than Foot and M.A.F.F. as it is an insect bourne vector. Knowing my luck I will be reincarnated as a cow!

During foot and mouth the airports were very very parinoid about boots and tires going abroad. So when I flew out with my bike I just didnt take any tires.
They were so flummoxed that they made me roll my rims through the 1/4 in deep puddle of washing up liquid instead (if I had tires the rims would not have gotten anywhere near the rims).
The world was saved.

apparently foot and mouth can be cured at £25 a head, dunno if the meat would be safe for consumption though??

I read some where that the law states the meat must not be contaminated (not the laws words. But you know what i mean) As foot & mouth does not harm us humans. But the fact the meat has some thing wrong with it means no sale. Also the jab to protect the cow is problem over here but not in Europe (is how i understand it) So it will need a change in the law to give the cow a jab. That's how i understand this sad (very sad for the cows/pigs) problem.

bloody lawyers again. get rid of all the lawyers, the world would be a better place, or especially this country anyway. tsk mutter mutter tsk bloody mutter (started me off now)

Last foot and mouth I was playing cricket for London New Zealand up near Birmingham. The pitch was in the grounds of Hagley Hall, surrounding by grazing farmland. If the ball went out of the ground we weren't allowed to get it back, so we had to introduce a "no sixes" rule so we didn't lose it.

When F&M starts interrupting cricket you have to worry!
