does anyone here have any info as to the best place to look for vintage airwalk trainers, ie pre-mid-1990's (when they went mainstream and started churning out ugly over-the-top designs), particularly suede sneakers in nice simple designs? I'm thinking along the lines of this kind of style...

i had a look in a sports world shop, you're right they do sell some airwalk in there, although not strictly the original ones from back in the day like i was after (i'm a picky sod).

they seem still to be big in france though.

i remember getting a couple of pairs in the mid-'90s from a shop in manchester called gravity, it never reopened after the bomb though.

Those old airwalks were the best.

I would love a pair of the dark red "O ones" (I think they were called). Great skate shoe.

they sound like the first pair i had - like a burgundy-red all over, white laces and sole? classic. I've ordered a pair of similar looking black and light grey 'ones' from an online shop in france. (i think. i don't speak french so we'll have to wait and see what turns up, if anything...)
