Sandwich envy *UPDATE*

I just went down to the poncey (but good) deli on the River near me here in our gracious capital and ordered a well over the top sandwich for a college and then a distinctly plain one for me.

I have spent the last half hour envying his creation in a way that I can only liken to if you had declined a lift to Le Mans in a friend's car and driven your 1988 Escort estate instead, only to find yourself following the rest of your gang in an M5 all the way down through France in a soul gnawingly humdrum, but oh so depressingly real 8hr convoy of frustration and regret.



*UPDATE*

I just had their balsamic dressing and it's rubbish. I make better dressing at home in mins. This one just tastes like cheap lemon juice.

Bored of that place now.

what kinda sandwich did he get?

him: gorgeous rye bread, emmentale, salami, salad (lots), mustard, mayo, salad dressing, balsamic binegar, s+p.

me: gorgeous wholemeal baguette, emmentale, tomato, cucumber, s+p.

I needed flavour.

Not sure about the mustard & the cucumber. What was your 'not' so tasty lunch?
