Pet inurance for a dog - any recommendations?

Re:

I got a great price through Tesco insurance and got £40 Quidco cashback as well. Haven't had cause to use it and hope I never will.

Re:

We use Petplan for Cooper our beagle and they've been excellent. As echoed in the thread, for an active (mad crazy) dog, insurance is essential.

Petplan paid up and vet/specialist invoiced direct so no hassle. that was over a grand for an eye op.

Re:

Another vote for Tesco - got a pile of vouchers and cashback offer at the time, approx 7 years ago and been with them since. Premium went up quite a bit after a claim 2 years ago, but a quick search confirmed the Tesco offer was, for us anyway, still the best option.

Re:

Pet plan is the easiest as most Vets are on direct dial so if you need to claim they sort it all for you. Costs though.

We’re with Animal Friends now for cat + dog and they’re fine. Cheaper and easy enough to deal with.
