electrical advice.

I bought 3 downlights, they only have live & neutral, but the feed has live, neutral & an earth wire. how do I deal with the earth ? do I just screw it to the bit inside the switch for the earth wire, then just run live & neutral from the switch.
any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Are they recessed downlighters? If so, its best practice to run with an earth to each one, then just insulate the earth off separately. This allows later installation of luminaires needing an earth without a rewire.
If it's surface wired then do as you propose.
