better than electric cars?

Why don’t we link lots of cars together and have one engine at the front and maybe develop a dedicated network with timetables and places it stops to get on and off...............

I think something similar is envisaged with autonomous cars. Though they would retain their individual engines, they may enter a dummy mode where there power only kicks in when needed. Could work.

As opposed to now where everything stops due to congestion.

Too many people and too many cars on our tiny island, we have to think smarter if we are to function efficiently - not just in terms of transportation.

Build houses across the country, not just in small compact areas.
We have plenty of land with nothing on it.
