Which automatic retro car?

Ultimate retro bike hauler for me would be a mitsi gallant v6 estate.

A mate had one that had been fettled with and it went like stink!

If I was buying one I'd be going for an e39 540 touring. Big, quick, comfy as hell and could probably be had for peanuts of you hold out for the right one.

It doesn't have to be a load-lugger!...in fact a hatch of saloon with decent size boot would do :)

I do like the Galant though

Maybe a compact estate would be the best compromise, but then again dropping the seats on a hatch would be more than adeqaute for the odd time it's needed ;)

Impreza wagon maybe? :?

Cheers all :D

I have an Impreza Estate/wagon its not the WRX one though (at your budget you could get one )

Quite roomy for bikes, roofbars too, very reliable and independent specialist can service it modestly and handles/grips very well.

What's it like on tax and insurance?

Cheers

Pre GM Saab 900 Turbo.I had a low pressure one in auto and it was the biz.The full pressure turbo is the one though.
And in auto, it'll not suffer from their chocolate gearbox... I went through 5 on mine ;)

Forester even better, works well over serious snow!

Have a Mk3 Boxer Diesel now myself after 3 Legacies. Good fun!

BUT

Ultimate retro auto?

Land Rover Defender 50th!

You might need a mortgage for the fuel though....4.0l V8....
