Today's Ride

Re:

With a bit of MTB riding in prospect this year, I thought it was about time, after over a year of solid road riding that I pulled out the faithful DOGS BOLX.

Kt and I went up to the local woods and as it's been a little wet these last few days, we, and the bikes got a bit grubby.

Ancient meets modern, or Orange and Black, Black and Orange.

We had a lot of fun but were only out for an hour and only did about 1000ft of climbing and 10ish miles, so a pretty good Mountain Mayhem lap.

We are meeting up again next week for a longer / steeper ride, pix to follow.

@Canyon. Front brake hose should go on inside of fork leg and be less loopy else risk of gettting it snagged.

Good to see bikes used in their natural environment.

Tried out my freshly finished Roberts White Spider yesterday. After meeting a friend for lunch.

Up to the South Downs, via a steep, rooty bridleway.

Trust me, that is steep. I'm in the granny ring, in readiness. Nice view once you break through the trees though.

After which, some nice singletrack, sheltering me from the headwind I know was coming at the end of it.

Heading towards the hills on the horizon. Past a load of bullocks

Then back through Angmering Park Estate, when it was a bit muddy

Lovely maiden ride.

Nice photos Neil! ;)

Re:

Excellent pics Mike.

You see that big muddy patch in your last photo? That's what the whole of our ride looked like  Well, the bits that weren't slippy rock'n'roots.

Re:

I could tell, from the state of your bottom bracket!

Hoses are great, aren't they!
