And yet, that same 'letter to one's father telling him all that one wishes to say' that I posted earlier in this thread, could possibly serve as a useful tool in this situation as well ...
 
Retrobike, a forum like no other.

I'm now back home, gave the silly old sod that is my dad a hug and reminded him to eat properly, take care and call if he needs anything. Similar words that followed me as I slipped the bonds of childhood home many years ago.

I'm glad dad and I continue to help each other, there are times in my life when I simply couldn't have survived some of the scars of life without incurring greater damage, the mess the "interesting" operational experiences left me in for a while (ptsd is a sneaky bastard) put back together and cycling, without which saved me.
