Don't know whether anyone else saw this on Thursday night on BBC2, but it was rather good.

The BBC's usual strategy when making a programme about the 1980s is to moan about Margaret Thatcher for an hour. So I wasn't expecting much. But in fact, this was balanced, thoughtful and had a cracking soundtrack of early eighties numbers.

There are 3 parts in total, so the first is now on iPlayer and there are still 2 left to be broadcast.

Worth a watch, even if it's only for glimpses of Ford Cortinas and Woolworth's. ;)

I enjoyed his series of programs on the 70s and this continues in a similar vein. Good stuff.

Also, I think I have nearly every track used in the soundtrack somewhere. :D
 
I watched it, but it is scary to see labour now are almost a carbon copy of what they where then.
