Early morning the Monaco F1 race, then the Indy 500, now home after the ride and watching the 600 mile NASCAR race from Charlotte, and last, this evening the NHRA Kansas Nationals Drag Racing...

Sounds pretty much like a perfect day to me. Monaco is by far the most exciting F1 race of the year... on par only with the SPA-Francorchamps.

:D

Sunday's ride in Joyden's Wood - proper south-east London suburb action, although you'd never know it once you're in it. The Explosif was faultless.

Re:

Al, that is a beautiful bike you have there-Today-Tuesday- Jonnyboy from Retrobike came to Marin along with his friend Ben, from New Zealand. Charlie Kelly came along for the ride, too. We rode to the West along the old Railroad Grade towards the ridge above, then hit the trail up through Sherwood Forest in the Redwoods, which gave way to an open spot partway up-see ridge pic-then a rest stop at the DriveIn, about 1080'. Then a short downhill and back up and into Tamarancho to ride the Flow Trail, kinda like a downhill skatepark with really big berms. A tough push and ride back up Dead Heifer brought us back to the ridgetop, just below the DriveIn at Dead Man's Curve. Finally the big descent back down through Sherwood to the paved rip down White's Hill (45-50 MPH on a bike) and into Fairfax for a beer at the Gestalt House...

Nice mid-week ride on a freshly cleaned-up bike. Lakes and then Terra Linda Ridge (with Mt. Tam in the background).
