Selling my wife’s Saracen hydrotech MTB.
Owned from new (late 80’s). Original apart from saddle.
Could someone give me an idea of the value.
Thanks in advance.

Cor, that looks in lovely condition.

Problem with Saracens is that they never seem to make much money. That being said, if yours is in the condition it seems and due to the fact it’s a rare 1991 bike with the right spec I would expect you could get £200 for it on a good day.

Just make sure you advertise it well and put detail in the title including the model, size and year. The forks alone will cause a lot of interest.

Oh, and stick a picture on the Saracen lovers anonymous thread to drum up interest.

You may be better off breaking it apart - you have Magura hydraulic brakes, as well as some pretty cool looking forks. Weren't they box-section ally frames too?

Agréé with Ed. I reckon up to £200 if you list it well with loads of good pictures.

You might make a bit more from splitting it - but maybe only £50 I'd say because I think the frame on it's own won't fetch much.

Good luck with the sale 8)
