Aquired a RTS 3 over the summer which I was going to clean up and use but I've discovered a 1 inch vertical crack on the head tube.

Thinking I might sell it now once it's been cleaned up a bit.

Is the value purely the components fitted?

It's standard apart from a purple ringle kooka stem. However all the parts are all in very good condition just dirty. Even has WTB tyres still in good wear.

Thanks

Hi,

You might be lucky if someone is in need of a fresh rear end, but otherwise value will be just in the parts.
Depending on what you've got, it might make more than a whole un-cracked bike...
£50 for a Kooka stem, maybe £75-80 for Ringle, for example.

Personally, I'd strip it, clean the parts and sell separately then offer the frame to someone who wants it.

All the best,

Cheers for the reply.

Yes you've pretty much confirmed my thoughts. Might clean it all up and see what the parts are worth.

Thanks
