Very unusual but rather clever

I got a nice red ano Ti-glide on Ebay the other day

Duly arrived this morn and i got a good look at what i'd bought
I knew i was missing its axle and end caps,but i was sure i could pick them up somewhere[+ CRC still has these axles]

OK thinks I,need axle,spacers etc...... but hang on theres something not right here :?
There appears to be an axle already fitted,but its hollow is 12mm and is for a bolt through,different bearings too,wider to accommodate the hollow axle
Ti-glides dont come in 12mm bolt through at least to my limited knowledge.So where the hell did this come from :?



On the Left ,we have the Hub ,now fitted with new bearings and an old QR axle
On the right we have the hollow bolt through axle with its spacers and bearings
Anybody recognise any of the parts? could they be from a modern hub and luckily fitted or have been custom made just for this hub

I think some jump/d-hill bikes use 12mm axle's :?

My really old front hub (pre tiglide) used a 9mm throughaxle, maybe it is an early prototype.

Maybe :? But not one by hope.
The hollow axle has blue grease on the threads :?

Blue grease is usually industrially used,which makes me think it was done by a large company.
does anybody recognised the parts as belonging to any other hub type,could it have come off something else.

Ill ask on STW,maybe someone there knows :?

Can the mods move this to readers kit thanks

blue grease might be some form of threadlock
