What width bottom bracket is recommended for triple rings on Turbines? This is for a 1989/1990 Marin.

I've been running single speed to date, and so the 109mm Hope Ti worked fine. Now I'm adding chainrings, it's too narrow.

Grateful for any advice on this, also does anyone have a source for new decals (Raceface forged)?

Which Turbines do you have.


For square taper since the start...
107/110mm is the Turbine LP length
120/122mm is the Turbine IB (early) length, later IBs seem to have 118 listed as well.
on a standard retro setup.

It should be noted the cranks are designed for greased tapers.

170mm LP's.

Ah, I didn't grease the tapers before fitting.

Will have another go and see if the fit is any better.

Bringing this great thread back to life with a question for my first post. :D

I just found a nice ISIS RF Turbine LP crank but need to find chainring bolts and nuts to go with it.

It seems the ISIS RF turbine LP crank requires M8x0.75x8.5mm chainring bolts for both inner and outer rings (see attached instructions). The nuts are supposed to be M8x0.75, but the instructions don't specify how long they must be.

The only nuts and bolts combo I've found so far are made by RF and KCNC, and the nuts are M8x0.75x6.5mm. Would 6.5mm nuts work, or would they be too short?

hi crew,
on another forum we are discussing whether the brochure is a crank 110/74 or 94/58, serially the rings are 46/34/24 (compact generally) but on pics I see microdrive.
help!

Compact from first look.
The two mount hole position is the part to look at and way the spider looks against the arm.

in my opinion it is microdrove,
compare cranks kona stab (compact) vs kona kula (micro?)
