Oooh! I love NOS finds! Dakar hubs; 231CD rims and matching headset... Dare I now build my first wheel (her indoors bought me a wheelbuilding stand and book at Xmas)???!!!

I've had dakar hubs on my bike since 1991, they are still like new, bomb proof. My front wheel is radial spoked, & has suffered no ill effects at the hub.

this seller had lots of mavic stuff .

my first wheel took me 3 hours I think , and it is the only one I have done . I need to do a pair soon though . not looking forward to it .

I've had a set of dakar's running since '90, they were second hand then. Gonna have to get some new rims real soon. Hubs just keep going.
