hey all

boought these about 3 weeks ago, they had a hairline
crack in the none drive side. had the crack cut out and re-welded,
and started the painfull journey off polishing and removing excess weld.

had new spacers machined up on the lathe aswell, and installed self extracting crank bolts.

this is what they looked like when i get them,

and here is a quick picture to waht they look like now...

thy have had self extracting crank bolts fitted with threadlock, so no troubles pulling threads out.

top work buddy. looking at them now makes me want them again!!
 
Please could you give some more details (and pictures) of your cranks crack and repair if possible.

I am soon going to weld up some cranks for a forum member and I'd appreciate any tips.

You mentioned you cut out the crack, why would you do this if you were confident in the weld?

Was the weld you did just a cosmetic fill for the section you removed?

now with rings and new decals, looking usable now!

will be pace rings soon , only had these in 110 so chucked them on for a pic.
