Crazy clean XC-Pro

Kona Fan
I recently picked up a 1992 Paramount, original to the saddle and tires! Almost complete XC-Pro grease-guard build...missing headset and brakes for some reason. The S-7/987s here are fine, but the XC-Pro levers are beautiful and the grease guard headset would have been nice. Campy rims, Ritchey cockpit, 7s thumbies, and the pedals! Absolute jewels. Yes, I'm a fan of the group...still have my factory gun!

Couldn't be cleaner for 25 years old...this one wasn't used much. Bearings are silky, not a scratch on most of it (crankarms are scratched but pedals are not?) It's all going on the larger one I have in the garage, but the very small and very nice frame that it was attached to is for sale...

Re:

Last of it then...installed on the 19" and non-OEM in a few places. XC-Pro brake levers (have OEM Dia-Compe SS-7, set aside), Euclid/SPD 1x crankset (have XC-Pro MD w/BB), Ringle stem (have PDG alloy quill), King headset (left Tioga on 15"), tires/saddle of course (selling original Smoke Lites, have Vetta).

Thrilled to have this one back in order!

Great job! Love XC Pro and all Suntour, well engineered stuff! And the pedals are a work of art for sure.

+1 Always upgraded some of the XT with it bitd.

Re:

I bought a road bike from a member on here where the frame was pretty scuffed and faded, with a bent rear mech hanger (Argos should just about have finished refurbing it by now), but the 28 year old groupset was mint, including the rear mech itself - not a mark on it. I wonder if some people run bikes with different kit and then refit the original components on later sale?
