Help me identify this snazzy ol' stem - Kona Velocity?

Hello all,

Picked this up this afternoon as it felt very light and looks as though some thought has gone into the design of it.

I rather like the open face plate and the 'drillium' holes below the minimum insertion mark. The cable guides and faceplate bolts all feel very nice.

The bung is made of soft rubber rather than the usually marred hard plastic which again suggests snazzy-ness to me.

Cro-mo, 300g on the nose, 130mm long, 25.4mm steerer, fairly certain the clamp is the same.

Any ideas? My first instinct is a Kona Velocity as they look very, very similar.

Re: Help me identify this snazzy ol' stem

I should say that the only thing I have noticed between this and the Velocity stems is that it lacks the ribbed expander wedge. Instead this one is much smoother and has had similar drilling done to it.

Indeed, looks to be a Kona Velocity, as it is very close to the stem that was on my 1993 HOT, except mine does not have the hole in the bar clamp, so perhaps newer than 93.
