Look what I just found!!!

These socks were a free gift with my FIRST EVER MBUK, the starting point of my whole bloody obsession with mountain bikes. Must have been '91/'92.

Anyway, just thought I'd share them with you all for a laugh.

Jon ;)

I've still got some unused Mint Sauce (and associated MBUK) sticker sets somewhere at home, remember seeing them a few months ago when I moved house.... :)

I'm like you....I found MTB mags going back to 1989  , all sorts of crap...a genuine Pace grease gun (and the grease to go with it), NOS cables...and I know somewhere is a set of red Ringle holey Cam Twists but i'm damned if I can find THEM....

(find all the sh_t I dont need and cant find what I want....it's always like that when you move house though    )

I have a pair of those socks too!

Oh and also found about 6 sets of Mint Sauce stickers whilst sorting through some of my old bike stuff. I may just scan them in and post them up sometime.

I have this jersey

XR2, that jersey is SWEEEET!

Oh, and I had an XR2 BITD, red, fully colour coded, banging sound system, RS Turbo bits in the engine bay.........beauty!

Thanks!
Nice to find someone who previosuly owned an XR2, im a big fan of them, on my 7th mk2 fiesta now! :D

Continuing the OT theme a mate of mine when I was a 6th form college had a ex BT yellow 1.3 petrol van, he did the full XR2 body lit, blacked out windows and pepperpots. Carpeted out the back and a few 9" speakers off an amp. The obligatory Kenwood KC-155 RL in the dash too!
It looked the mutts nuts!

I very nearly brought an old 1.8d Escort van BITD. It had a full RS Turbo kit on it, and as one would expect ;) a full panel-shaking sound system!

I thought it would be the best of both worlds as I could transport my bikes in the back, and also have a cool looking car.

Trouble was, there was more rot under the body kit than actual metal  I didn't buy it in the end......funny that
