NOS from Marketplace, beautiful shifters.
I do not see them often, are they rare?

Similar but they sit under the bar rather than on top. They were an option on the XC-Pro/comp level groups around 1991/2 but were overlooked at Suntour was pushing the doomed X-press shifters. They were similar to the Mavic shifters that were around at the same time, which in turn were just rebranded Simplex shifters. Shimano even made some, but at a much lower price level and much later

They work really well and have a lovely solid feeling to them - I'm a fan of wishbones if you hadn't guessed.

they are quite rare and very nice!
I'm also having a set, NOS, boxed with oryginal cables :) And I'm thinking if should I change this situation and use them some day ;)

God only knows, I just remember seeing a low end bike with Shimano Y levers. I'm not too good with low end crap so I didn't note down the model number.
