Campagnolo Olympus

Old School Hero
Hey guys,

Found this in the loft today, it looks like a partially complete Olympus groupset. I think most components are new in their box.

Was wondering if anyone knew what year this group was produced? and whether it was second to euclid? or third behind euclid and centaur?

Thanks.

I think that was produced in 91 bit could have been 92, and I think it was third behind Euclid and Centaur.

What a find! :shock:
I'm still using some of my original Olympus groupset from '92. It was behind Centaur but used some of the same parts I believe, hubs etc.
I found the Bullit shifters aweful, and thought the plastic and steel brake levers were the worst thing Campag ever made - but the rest of the group was very nice, and the hubs and pedals are superb quality. (I've used the front hub and pedals continually since '92 and they're still running smoothly on the original bearings, thousands of miles later!)

Hello Johnson22, you have done a nice finding!
I look for a sentence of brake levers of Olympus. Do you sell somewhat of your treasure?

2. Question: I have a Front Derailleurs with diameter ca. 35mm. In the picture 28.6mm has. I need 31.8mm. Does one know the distance plate replacement as with record OR? Or can I bore simply a few additional holes? Or has yours coincidentally the correct diameter?

Thanks for your answer

P.S.
Sorry, I cannot speak English :oops:

Hey schnegg314

Im still thinking about selling, but have got some offers on stuff already. So I will let you know.

About the derailleur, Ive just read the manual that comes in the box and it says it is adjustable from 28mm to 33mm. 5 different diameters can be obtained.

A1= 30.4 to 30.8mm
A2= 31.8 to 32.2mm
A3= 32.4 to 33mm
B1= 28 to 29.4mm
B2= 29.6 to 30.2mm
B3= 31 to 31.6mm

Hope that helps.
