Onza Mongo II headset

Hi guys.

Last friday i found this NOS beauty in a friendÂ´s store. I believe this threaded model is from Â´93 or Â´94.

They were a bit expensive at the time, and it was one of my favorits.

Got it for free from that friend (here in Portugal people still donÂ´t know the retrobike concept).

I know I still have one too. I wasn't so happy with it, but that could also very well have something to do with that I used a piece of wood and a hammer for installing :roll:

Herbold used them, so they are excellent for a Herbold replica build

THESE ARE THE BEST BILLETT HEADSET Sorry to say, lower stack and easier to install than a king. And tolerant of misalignment to a certain degree. I have one on my yeti. . . but if anyone ever wanto to palm me a spare. . . .

i guess it's the Onza Mongo 1 though.
does anyone now which year this was build in? there is no year printed on the manual...

I like it in black. It is a Mongo headset, probably from 91/92, the first year they were made, i guess... :?
