The guts of the machine is where the hard work begins. I am powering it with a dual core windows xp machine, and the software is gonna be mame and the frontend software is gonna be hyperspin for ease of use with just the joysticks. I will be running a xbox 360 with 250gb hard drive so i can download games straight into the box in order to play the latest games.

The problem i have with this is getting the joysticks and buttons to recognise it is an xbox controller. I am also gonna put a playstation 2 in there so i can load up the old playstation games.

I was thinking of not using the xbox at all and just putting the lastest titles on the pc.

In the end it should have 8000+ games and internet savvy.

I was thinking of making a cabinet that has a 60 inch tv screen so you can play split screen with four people, how awesome would that be.

thanks for your interest andy

Surprised you don't just go for the full Afterburner cabinet
