Hi Apache, pm'd you with this on going hum from the tone contols.....tried it with my full size amp (that is earthed good) today HUM from that right knob again but goes if i touch the kno and the case of the tone controls at the same time. Something tells me this wouldn't be happening it the front and back case were metal too ??? or a faulty pot ?

nice phones by the way........well reviewed. i used to have some sennhieser HD 580's...but i really like my Audiotechnica's........

They're great. Imaging is very un-headphone like. Detail is stunning. Only downside, despite their size they don't have the bass power of the Bose, which I enjoyed a lot.

The headphone amp is but a module in my modular pre-amp, though the one for the pre wont have a volume control as that will be in the core system.
