Serious question. Yes really.

Do you pilot drill before you screw and what drill/screws do you use?

I drill a pilot hole with my makita drill
Then I will use 65 - 100 mm screws for the frame using my makita impact driver.
I don’t know how I managed before I got my impact driver.
Jeff.

I love a good shed thread. Signing in for updates Jeff

I love the smell of wood.

Depends on whose wood whiffs of what. There's nothing worse than the unwelcome whiff of unwanted wood under your nose.
