i might need to rethink the title of this thread, however, i picked this little number up yesterday as i liked the look of it and my youngest is at that stage where hes a bit big for his balance bike, but im not happy with anything im seeing a step up from that, plus i've nearly finished all my other builds...sooooo

£25 later and this happens:

something a little disturbing happening with the rear tyre....

first step, will be to disassemble and give it a cosmetic once over. the tyres i think have had it, but will check them over.
inner tubes i think i can safely say will be replaced.
its all working nicely else where, so i suspect it'll polish up nicely.

a repaint i think is in order. not sure whether to respect its origins, or go custom on its ass.....

one thing i would like to do is identify it.....ive no real clues other than the serial number and the 'P' logo on the front...

Re:

Turns out this is a Pavemaster from the late 50s. I love it, can't wait to get it sorted! I'm going to stick to traditional-ish colours. Maybe a cherry red with white mud guards. Sort of American hot rod style. Need to get hold of some of those white balloon tyres though...
