Hi there!

I have got myself the frame of my dreams.

Ever since I started mountain biking I´ve wanted a Bontrager Race/Race Lite and last summer I got my chance!
Going thru a site I hadn´t been to for a while, suddenly THE frame was for sale.

I´m not an impulsive buyer by a long shot, but I threw a mail on the spot!!
The deal was done pretty fast and all of a sudden I was a paypaler :)
Another cool thing was I bought from the original owner!

As I didn´t have a lot of parts the project rested over the fall/winter. Falling off my other Bonty, and rather badly, didn´t help either ;)

Now I´m starting to get parts from all over the place and all is coming together rather nicely.

I´ll update this as bits come in and put together.

Chainsuck touchup

Here´s some pics of the chainsuck that was on the frame and how I did some touchup.
Now it´s a lot nicer going out in rain and mud ;)

Stuff

Thanks guys for kind words :)

Here´s some stuff I have and this will be the last update ´til I get it more complete.
Some stuff is on the way that I can´t wait for it to come...

The Marzocchi Z2 Atom is specialorder by the original owner who wanted something more than the Rock Shox Judy XC it came with.
It has a 1 inch steerer in steel and it has the original travel of 80 mm reduced to 70 mm to come as close to the Judy´s 63 mm as possible.
This is next in line to be fitted along with the headset I just recieved from the States.

The headset is a Chris King Nothreadset 1 inch which should suit the bike fine.

The post is just awesome and hard to do justice on picture.
It´s just on the small side but I´ll try using it as it basically set the "black component" theme when I got it.

Hope you enjoy the pics!

Today I went to my LBS with frame, fork, headset and stem so they can put it all together.
At last the wheels are in motion (pun intended) and next week I´ll have the result.
At the same time spring is round the corner so at long last it´s time to go out riding again :)

A cool thing with the LBS is they had a Bontrager steel sign, which Keith had signed at the shop

Here´s the stickers that I got last fall from Gil. Thanks mate, sterling job :D

I hope you don´t see this as boring, but I just love threads with a lot of pictures
I´m gonna put out pics as stuff arrives, and today was a good day ;)

From the states a nice Velo Bontrager saddle with Ti rails arrived, in mint condition  I was originally planning to use my Bonty Selle San Marco CroMo, but this is so nice I might use it instead. And Ti rails gives such a nice ride

Next up is the bottom bracket, FSA Ultimax. The axle is cromo.

And last, but not least, is the wonderful bottlecage Elite Ciussi Inox.
Nothing more needs to be said :)

On saturday I´ll be getting the frame and forks back, now put together.
Until then, take care!
