Well.........
It all started only last night,
Sitting on the sofa with Mrs P , after having her out for a rather chilly 11 mile jaunt on her wee bike.
Flicking through the page of the local gumtree adverts and there she was,
Chained to the tenement communal bannister, next to the bin and unloved for quite sometime.
Sent off an e-mail to the seller who replied almost instantly.
After a few e-mail's back and forth we agreed a time to view and negotiate a release for the chained up victim.

I managed to gain entry into the captive lair undetected and proceeded to
give the hostage a good quick physical exam,
Everything in order, Still holding onto the original grouppo , only the force 40 brakes were missing, having been replaced with some V's.

Chapped on the captors door to be gret by a little posh female Edinburgh student, the bike was originally bought by her uncle in Germany & it still holds it original sellers dealer sticker, it had been in storage for some time until the lass needed some transport for around town, She has been using it as a commuter for over a year , and it shows.
Sporting some unbranded 1.5" tyres and the bar ends up at an ungainley & JAUNTY angle, with a tacky front mudguard.

Some paint damage to her, but nothing major.
The Formula Red still has plenty of life left in it!

Its a 20" frame with the sloping toptube and 13" high bottom bracket,
It may be a bit tall for me but hopefully I will get away with it.
Lusted after one of these when they came out in 92 i think ?

This is a November '93 model, checked and checked again on the Vintage Cannondale website, as I made a boob when ageing the Super-V when I originally posted that up.

Here she is in her recently released from captivity glory
Excuse the pics, cant find the camera

I will spend some time getting to know her first before planning anything,
just glad to have freed another victim of Retro Commuter Abuse

Let me know when you realise it's too big for you :D muwhahahaha, etc.

Looking good though, Touch up, t-cut and wax the frame? Lube and some new tyres and watch no take out an eye on a bar-end.

Expecting to see it and your good self on an upcoming macretro jaunt in the near future!

Had it out for a Shakedown today, just back in!

Took it up my old stomping ground, that has a lot of technical & climbing
Have never bothered with the Sv up there as it just doesn't climb, it just bounces !

This thing climbs like I forgot bikes could,
It all works perfectly and I am truly chuffed to bits with it! 8)

It does need a few touch-up's & a good T-cut
A slightly shorter & higher stem for me but other than that it's a damn good fit (phew)

Bar end are off completely, would like some stubbies on it though and maybe some smokes, as i feel it desperately needs some skin/tan sidewall tyres on it!

On the hunt for some Force 40 cams too.
Why OH Why did I sell the XT brake levers, Deore thumbies and the cantis recently!!
Would have been perfect, anyway

Here's some of today pics...
