This has been on here elsewhere in the past, but here is the final definitive build (after 2 years!!!!!) so I thought a new thread would be nice...

Specs -

Frame: Orange P7 my1997 (built late 96)

Fork: Pace RC30

Headset: Chris King Gold
Stem: Control Tech
Handlebar: Control Tech
Grips: Yeti Speed
Barends: Er, no.

Brakes: M960
Brake Pads: M960
Brake Cables: XT
Cantilever cable hangers: n/a
Brake Levers: M950 STI

Shifters: M950 STI
Front Derailleur: M960
Rear Derailleur: M960
Derailleur Cables: XT
Cassette: not sure, 8sp goldish colour, drilled - anyone know??
Chain: IG71?
Cranks: Raceface Turbine isis
Crank Bolts: Raceface
Chainrings: Raceface
Chainring bolts: Raceface
Bottom Bracket: Raceface ISIS
Pedals: (anyone got any 747 SPD???)

Hub Skewers: Hope gold

Well here is my dream spec P7. A few of you will recognise some parts fitted, so thanks to all those who sold me their nice gear 8)

Its built with my favourite parts, running 8 sp too.

Frame has been mine since new, and is just about perfect

you get used to seeing the bike as clean as that dont you? as we tinker away.

Well a light spin (headset sl loose...) proves it to be really light and lively, very accelerative!!! The geometry seems spot on with those forks - I have an older set of rc30s that are a bit shorter and they made it feel like a roadbike

Proper test & shakedown to follow... 8)

being me, i obviousley like that!! :lol:

mine is the same frame but the model before so it has the canti hanger on the back so i am forced to use canti brakes, wished it wasn't there as then i could do v brakes aswel, but i'm not gonna complain as it was karma'd to me 8) can't wait to get it finished, i think it will be my mayhem weapon this year. :D
